Spell your name-o!

Ever heard of the song Bingo? I would hope all of you have, if not, comment down below...I wanna know! This is a trick I used to teach my boys how to spell their names even before time to learn what spelling was. It's easy and you don't have to have a five letter name to do it.
When I started with my oldest, Gabriel, I knew the full seven letters might be a bit much to start with so used his nickname, Gabe, to start. This is the song I taught him.
I have a boy, he's really great and Gabe is his name-o!
G-A-B-E
G-A-B-E
G-A-B-E
and Gabe is his name-o!
He already knew Bingo and was so excited to hear his own name in the song. Within one or two times of singing he had mastered it so after a day or two of singing I used his full name.
I have a boy, he's really great and Gabriel is his name-o!
G-A-B-R-I-E-L
G-A-B-R-I-E-L
G-A-B-R-I-E-L
and Gabriel is his name-o!
You can change "really great" to super cute, really sweet, etc. and even change it every time you sing for a silly factor. I would also recommend trying the song out by yourself first to get the tune right for your child's name, especially if its longer than seven letters.
Music can be a powerful tool for learning with your kids, and I hope this song works great for yours. Let me know how it goes!
